WHERE THE GOOD BECOME GREAT.

Welcome to DarkEarly.

Here, we strive to help people like you find that balance between life, training, goals, happiness, work, and wellness. We are a coach, an athlete, a race promoter, a wife, and a mother of three amazing children. Juggling these roles daily makes us uniquely qualified to help you reach your potential despite life's constant demands. There are few things we enjoy more than seeing someone set a goal just beyond their reach, work towards it, and then surpass it.

DarkEarly was born out of a desire and need to train successfully on budgeted time and expenses. I have learned it is essential to do something for myself... every day.  This may sound selfish, but the dividends overflow to my family. When I make quality time for myself, which is usually spent training for my next race, I find that I am a better mother, wife, and friend. Given my increasingly demanding life, my training usually happens early in the morning when it is still dark. DarkEarly is when I get up and push toward my goals, and my supportive family crawls out of bed to travel and cheer me on during events. DarkEarly is when it happens, where it happens, and how it happens.

Meet the coaching staff

I am Coach Tiffany Burris. My background is that of a "long-distance" runner. I have over 20 years of experience in competitive running. I have competed in 100m dashes, marathons, and everything in between. I found quick success as a young athlete, which continued into high school and college. In high school, I earned multiple All-State Cross Country and Track and Field medals. I competed at both the National and International levels.

At last check, I still hold the 3200m record in track and field and the 2-mile Cross Country record at my high school. I went on to be a student-athlete at a DII university, where I was a part of multiple MIAA Championship teams and was awarded Student-Athlete of the Week for excelling in the classroom and in competition. I am currently ranked as one of the top steeplechasers through the university's track and field program. Since college, I have competed in two half marathons, one full marathon, and over 50 races of varying distances and disciplines. I am generally among the top women in my age group.  In the local triathlon circuit, I am amidst the top females and an age group placer. I have qualified for USAT National Championships every year I have competed.

I often find myself on the podium of cycling races I enter. I completed the 2018 Dirty Kanza 200 (now Unbound) in 15:48.5, which led me to 20th place in my age group. I'm training, growing, and consistently reaching goals.

  • Coached 10+ athletes to successful Unbound finishes - All distances, from 50 to 200 miles.

  • Coached multiple athletes to the podium for Sprint, Olympic, and Ironman distance triathlons.

  • Coached several athletes to the podium for gravel cycling races. Distances included 50, 80, and 100 miles.

  • Coached athletes to compete successfully in multi-day, ultra-endurance bikepacking races.

My coaching portfolio includes triathlon, gravel cycling, ultra-endurance, criterium, and road racing.

Let's get started, now.
